Barbara's tagging all her readers with this, so here's my effort.
1. What did I learn? (skills, knowledge, awareness, etc.)
Skills - didn't master the guitar (back on my list for 2008), but got the hang of knitting.
Knowledge - a little something everyday.
Awareness - I'm a lonely soul and I need to make changes to deal with that, rather than acting out (again, on my list to deal with in 2008).
2. What did I accomplish?
I knitted a hat and a number of scarves. I sang a 2-line solo during the carol service. I put copy in a website at work - quite a big job, actually.
3. What would I have done differently?
Gone home before I kissed him!
4a. What did I complete or release?
My obsession with a certain guy was released from being an obsession to be able to develop into a friendship. Still working on it, but have released it in my mind.
b. What still feels incomplete to me?
Me. I still feel lonely and incomplete, but I'm working on it with God.
5. What were the most significant events of the year past? List the top three.
1. Springsteen concert
2. My first real preach
3. Turning 30!
6a. What did I do right?
I must have done something right as I survived 2007 pretty much intact!
b. What do I feel especially good about?
Still being able to grow.
c. What was my greatest contribution?
Trivial, but I made the company Christmas party go off with a bang and no complications. Not on my own, but a major chunk of the final organisation was down to me.
7a. What were the fun things I did?
Springsteen concert
Greenbelt working behind the bar
Lots of little things
b. What were the not-so-fun?
My friend moving to Cambodia
The affair, the trigger for me acting out in that way (a guy I liked rejecting me) and the aftermath emotionally
8. What were my biggest challenges/roadblocks/difficulties?
My emotions
My housemates (I've had about 7 or 8 over the last 12 months, currently have 4 - it can be a challenge living with that many people)
9. How am I different this year than last?
I don't know yet!
10. For what am I particularly grateful?
That I'm alive, God loves me and I have a second chance when I screw up!
